How I started Windsurfing: I grew up on the beach and have always seen people windsurfing. One day, when I was 5, I told my father that I wanted to windsurf. He thought I was too young, but actually, it worked pretty well and I got addicted since that day! SUP I only started lately but got hooked straight away with this sport. Lanzarote is the perfect place for it, like this you can always be on the water, no matter if windy or not.

Best windsurfing day in my life: There are lots! Any day on the water!

Other sponsors besides Fanatic: NorthSails, ION, my Mum and Dad

My Goals: Become a World Champion and surf waves everywhere in the world.

My Slogan: Surf as you live and live as you surf.

INTERVIEW

Welcome to Fanatic! What were your reasons to join our team?
I have been trying Fanatic boards a lot since a while already now. When I was on the boards I had so much fun and my sailing just got better and better, so one day I just had to ask to be in the team.

What do you think of your new team mates like our Champs Gollito Estredo/Victor Fernandez, Belar Diaz/Fred Bonnef?
Every time I want to learn something I go on the internet pages to watch Victor and Gollito doing their moves. Now I can be with them and learn, which is much better than watching them on the internet and I have been learning with Tom and Yoli de Brendt here in Lanzarote.
Last year I followed Gollito like a shadow when he was sailing on my home spot Lanzarote during the PWA World Cup. Belar Díaz and Fred Bonnef are in Lanzarote this week. They have shared a lot of SUP sessions with me already. Very nice team spirit!

Did you get a chance to try any of our gear yet and what do you think?
I made a test using the Fanatic Skate 100l 2011 and the Skate 89l 2012 - that gear is just amazing! I had my first try on the Quad 75 2012 in December. It feels so light, that I right away landed a super high Stalled Forward and a Flatwater Backloop. All together, that board feels like a Surfboard under my feet. I have been SUPing all week with the Fanatic ProWave 8´6 here in Lanzarote. It has been a good experience to go and SUP in waves that I have never been before.

What are your plans, for sure not easy to be a lot on the water and still have to do schoolwork?
Actually it is easy for me doing schoolwork every day, because if I work hard, I can be on the water at 3 o´clock and I do my schoolwork after the session. If I do my homework at 3 o´clock I can go on the water at 4 o´clock and be on the water as long as I want Surf, SUP, Skate, Skim….

Which goals do you want to reach in 2012?
To be part of the Fanatic team and promote this fantastic brand, which means to work hard next year, but also have a lot of fun on the water!

Thanks, and good luck for your upcoming adventures!
